The Sick and The Sympathetic

Actually there wasn't too much sympathy involved as far as little sis went today.

Wyatt woke up not quite himself, just seeming really tired. I didn't think much of it because he hadn't slept well at all last night "scarey dreams about the animals" he told me. He ended up in my side all night so I think we both lost some sleep that way. Anyhow other than tired I thought he was OK, but after I picked him up from preschool I realised he wasn't. He barely spoke on the way home, just said "I don't feel like talking right now." He was really tired, had a fever and kept telling me his neck and arms hurt. I called the Dr. and they seemed to think it was still hand foot and mouth disease, but as far as I understood since the spots are almost gone there shouldn't be anymore fever. He slept willingly for 2 hours this afternoon, laid on the couch for a while and then right before dinner did finally get up and play a bit. When I got home from Kid's Club Mike told me he was functioning at about 50%. We still don't know what is wrong, maybe it's the same stuff, maybe something else. We go back to the Dr in the morning.

As for Miss Cora, she was a royal pill to Wyatt today. While he was laying on the couch waiting for lunch she pulled his hair, tried to sit on him several times and kept running up and yelling at him. I honestly think she wanted his attention and that was how she was trying to get it, to provoke him rather than doing it to be mean. Poor guy, she was really a little stinker. After nap she was a bit kinder, which is where the pictures come in. She wanted her own "cozy corner" and we hapily apeased her so that she would stay off of Wyatt. You can tell she feels fine and that Wyatt was only smiling because he thinks that's what you're supposed to do when Mommy breaks out the camera. Sigh...we certainly hope the little guy feels better soon.
