Fun things to do while daddy was gone...

Mike was gone 2 full weeks this summer working on some "special" projects for his department. On those long summer afternoons when daddy's gone.....and you know he's not coming through the door at 5:00 or 6:00 to sweep you off your feet and save you from the dinner, bath, bedtime routine, you have to get a little creative. :)

They discovered dinosaurs this summer and one day while I was weeding realised how fun it is to play with them IN the trees and bushes. Well, on this particular day it was a little to hot to go out, so they asked me if I could bring some of "pieces of the bushes in?" Not so good for our little bushes, but wow, the entertainment value was way up there!

The house project actually started out as them painting at the easel (outside where I could hose off the mess), but when I had my back turned for a tiny second, they quickly moved on to the playhouse! I actually didn't mind at all, it's their house and really better theirs than mine!
