We had a very quiet Thanksgiving Day this year. We woke up and took our time getting around and enjoying the parade, which Cora LOVED! We went to my parent's house where it was just them, us and my uncle, the rest of the family was elsewhere this year. It was peaceful, we all fit around one table, and Wyatt actually said the blessing! It was very sweet and the first time he's done that for a family dinner, then he initiated a little conversation of "what are you thankful for?"
Friday we undecorated for fall and redecorated for Christmas, this was something that Wyatt really loved. He can't wait to get the tree and help daddy do the outside decorating later this week!
Saturday we went to cousin Lexi's birthday party at Kid's Castle. The kids had a great time and Cora was finally big enough to really enjoy it. Thankfully Mike went with me and followed her all through the "castle" - that place really makes me nervous, it seems so easy to loose a kid in there!
Sunday we went to church and actually got to enjoy worship (yes we made it in time/out of the nursery in time for once!) and the sermon together! This is a rare thing for us with Mike working every other weekend and me often being in the nursery. The message was fantastic (about patience and waiting).
All in all it was a pretty regular and uneventful weekend, but we LOVED and needed that!
