Sunday of Valentine's weekend was what I'd call a highly successful day in the Hobbs house! We actually made it to church by 7:45 so I could set up the nurseries and we could get to the 8:00 service, then we worked the 9:30 toddler room. After that we left straight from church (no going back by the house for forgotten items!) with everything we needed to be away for an entire day, you know extra clothes, lots of snacks and drinks, the little potty, blankets, special sleeping friends - the works! We stopped for coffee of course and then headed to Wenatchee for "the big suprise" as we told the kids. Playhouse Disney was doing a performance over there and it had the characters from 3 of the kid's favorite shows; Little Einsteins, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I don't think they really knew what to expect, Cora liked it and was entertained but not totally sure about the whole thing, amd Wyatt LOVED it! We all had a lot of fun, both kids did good and either sat in or stood in front of their chairs - no trying to wander off. After that everyone was hungry so we had another Hobbs family first, we ate at McDonalds -that's why I posted the picture! I know - I'm so mean - never having taken my kids to the golden arches! It's just not a place Mike and I eat so the kids have no idea what it is. Anyhow they each got happy meals and thought they were pretty cool. I managed to find a chicken salad that was pretty good, and Mikey was thrilled with is 1/4 pounder - he hadn't had one in ages!
The drive home was interesting, Cora had 3 false alarm potty stops so it took forever to get back, but we made it just in time for them to have quick snack and a bath and get to bed!
Quick thanks to my mom and dad who paid for 1/2 the tickets for us to go, it was a great treat and we all had so much fun!
