So around here we've been having a lot of sleeping issues the past week or so. Wyatt has developed some of his first fears of anything: elephants and bees. This has been part of the sleeping problem, but we were also starting to notice how hot and sweaty his little head was when he was waking up (or course that will happen when you bury your head in stuffed animals and blankets, in an effort to keep the bees and elephants away). So after one tiny little hour of napping today he woke up hot and his whole head was damp and I asked if we should go see Miss Jessica, our beloved hair stylist. He said yes, and then Mike chimed in "do you want daddy to cut your hair?" To which Wyatt said "oh yeah!"
Cut to a bit of background here; Mike has wanted to cut Wyatt's hair FOREVER! I haven't let him because I love Wyatt's little boy hair style that you part and comb. Mike's idea of a haircut is the same style he has, which is fine, but just so grown up!
Anyhow both of them grinning, the buzzing began! Wyatt was all for it and had a great time. Once I looked I started crying (just for a minute), there was no turning back, my little boy was going to have a big boy haircut. It's cute, but now I feel like he looks like a kindergartener rather than a preschooler. I am consoled by the fact that it will grow back, (maybe by fall when preschool actually starts) and by the hope that it will help him sleep better and be more comfortable over all. For your viewing pleasure we have before and after shots just to the right!

Was just thinking....did you let Grandpa Hobbs (I guess Great Grandpa for you guys...) know about the blog? I got him set up to look at ours - a good way to keep everyone in the loop. Not much for comments, but always fun for him to look throughout the week! Just a thought.
