Fearless

Last week we took the kids on our first little Hobbs family trip that was only us, and no extended family. It was also the first 5+ hour car ride and first time staying in a hotel room with both kids. All in all it went great! Aside from some false alarm poop stops for Wyatt (for which we sped from gas station to wide spot in the road to outhouse before deciding he really didn't have to go), the kids did great on the trip. Sleeping was a bit tricky as they found each other completely hillarious right around naptime and bedtime, but when the crashed it was hard. They also reconfirmed what we already pretty much knew - they have NO FEAR! The first thing we did when we arrived was go right down to the beach. We wanted to show them the ocean and we figured they'd be a little timid of the crashing waves, but no, they both ran as fast as they could right at it - thankfully Mike was right on their tails! Wyatt got wet but managed to stay up right while little Cora got knocked right over, totally covered in sand and cold water. It didn't deter them though, they had a fantastic time the next 2 days jumping waves and playing on the beach!
