Girlie Drama Already?

Oh my, Miss Cora is I think by far going to be our more challenging child. She to recently tried to "reject the faith", as my good friend Abby has mentioned. :) She looked at me while I was praying, covered her ears, and yelled "no, that hurts my ears!"

Anyhow, that's just a side note. Today I arrived to pick her up at her classroom after my MOPS meeting and as usual she came running to me saying "mommy I yuv you so much, I so happy to see you!" So we're hugging and such, and her teacher came over with the unfortunate news that "we had a little trouble today" she then proceeded to tell me that Cora had hit and pushed and had to be put in a time out for it!!! I was SO shocked, yes that is fairly common place (though not tolerated) at home, but never for others taking care of her! I didn't really know what to say, I thanked the lady, told her we'd talk, and agreed that it was the right choice to put her in a time out. So as I'm thinking about it all, wondering what would prompt her to do that, and what I wanted to say to the little stinker, she pipes up from the back seat "mommy, I had to go to time out today."
me: oh really, what happenned?
Cora: I pushed, I pushed a baby
me: why, did someone take something from you, were you mad?
Cora: I was sad because I couldn't have my Elie
me: oh, was someone else playing with Elie
Cora: yeah, and it was dangerous
me: dangerous for the other kid or for Elie
Cora: dangerous for Elie
me: oh, so you pushed because you didn't want them to play with Elie
Cora: yeah

So, long story short, Cora has become super best buds with Elie (her mom is my good friend and our little boys are good friends too) and apparently she got a touch defensive today with other little kids who were trying to play with "my Elie" as she calls her. Sigh! She's barely 2, I can't believe this is already starting! We of course went over the importance of NOT doing that, but if your kids happen to be friends with Cora (or Elie for that matter), watch out, she's a little possessive!

Hilarious! We won't let Avery and Cora play when they are in middle school! They'll reject the faith and fight.... :)

It could be worse - she could take her belt of and 'punish' the other kids like I did when I was in preschool! haha :)
