Tucker

Here's the newest member of the family! We've had him for about a month now, I'm just slow on updates lately. :) Tucker is his name and he's about 6 mo old now. He's some sort of a shepard mix, not sure with what because he was a "pound puppy", sort of. Mike heard about this dog and was hooked from the start.
Tucker's story started out in a box outside of Yakima's Fred Meyer store when he was just a tiny puppy, on Christmas Eve. A man was trying to give him and his brothers and sister away, for free, because he couldn't take care of them. The wife of a guy that Mike works with just happenned to be leaving the store, passed them by, went to her car and then went back knowing that if she didn't take them, they probably wouldn't have a chance in the freezing weather. It just so happenned that she and her husband are a "foster" or "rescue" home for dogs that otherwise wouldn't have a future, so it was the perfect place for those puppies to go! Since then Mike's friend has been raising them and was hoping to adopt them out (so he could have room to rescue more dogs). Apparently this little guy had a home several times and it fell through. So Mike heard the story, was almost hooked, and then he said "well, what's his name?" His friend said "Tucker" and that was it, hook line and sinker! Mike called and told me the whole thing, I was a little hesitant too, that is until I heard the name. "Tucker" is my maiden name and the name we almost gave Boggs 9 years ago. :) We didn't waist anytime, we went and picked him up the next night!
He's a great fit and a wonderful dog! Mostly he just wants to be loved, he'd let you hold him like a baby all day if you wanted. He's not a jumper, barker, begger, digger or chewer - how we lucked out I don't know! Boggs was super excited to have a friend, thankfully! We all love him and I think it's safe to say he IS Cora's baby! She can't get enough of him, calls him "little Tucky", and "mothers" him like crazy. It's very sweet, funny at times because when he's had enough and goes to hide she takes it VERY personally and says "me and Tucker had a fight". We're thankful to have him as part of the family!
The triangle house is Tucker's, Wyatt and Mike built it together
(don't worry we have a bed to go inside it!)

With is squeaky bone from Cora

Sleeping where is's NOT supposed to be!
(that only happenned once :) )
"I'm just so cute and sweet and the best dog you could ever want!"
