This was our playroom a few Saturdays ago, under serious renovation from the crayola paint team! This room was originally our den/ Mike's hunting room/ the computer room until Cora was a few months out. Then we turned it into Wyatt's room and my husband actually painted one wall of the room with color! Up until that point he had a firm belief that all walls should be white! He worked his way through college as a painter and ran into way to many badly, but colorfully painted dorm rooms! Now that the kids are successfully sharing a room, it is now the playroom and needed to be fun! So this was a whole new step for Mike, 2 colors in one room - and bright colors at that! He also told me when we were talking about how to paint the playroom, that yellow was the worst color to use because it's the hardest to cover up, should you ever want to. However he must have known that I had my heart set on this color scheme (it matches the new play kitchen) because he willingly agreed and even went and bought the paint himself! The original plan was to paint one wall yellow, touch up the blue wall and leave the other walls white. But, the boys just got really into what they were doing and did everything (but the ceiling and the blue wall) in yellow! It's very bright and cheery and I can't begin to explain the fun Wyatt had painting. That was also a first for Mike, painting with a little helper! He did great though and just let Wyatt go with only a few limits (like don't paint the carpet), even let him use the biggest brush and the roller! Right at the end Cora woke up and to my complete surprise, Mike suggested that they put hand prints under the window! They are loving their very fun playroom!

Oh so fun! Love that the kids got in on the "action."
Yipee!!! We did a bunch of yellow painting ourselves, with one red wall - our new den/bar. I'll pot a pic this weekend - we get our sofa on Friday, so it'll be more complete. Looks like lots of fun - did the handprints stay??
oops, not pot...post!!! :) That's what I get for typing while holding Cash and not previewing!!!
