Us at the concert
Really, it is my lucky number!
This past Monday Mike and I celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary. It has been an amazing and wonderful 7 years (though not with out it's ups and downs), and we both agree 100% that there isn't anyone who we would have rather gone through it with.
We actually celebrated last Saturday, when Mike's parents came over all the way from Pullman (bless them!) to watch the kids for the evening, while we went to a concert! 7 years ago, right before we got married Mike and I went to see one of our favorite bands, Brooks & Dunn, and that was the last concert we went to, until last weekend. We had heard that Brooks & Dunn were coming back this way and it just happenned to coinside with our anniversary! We were so excited to get to go, a whole afternoon, evening, night combo all by ourselves and a great concert too! They put on such a great show, we had a fantastic time! Interestingly, the band they played with was ZZ Top!? I never thought I'd say "I've been to a ZZ Top concert!" Not that I don't like them, they were good to, but I must have mellowed in my near 30 age because they were LOUD!!!!! We only stayed for 4 of their songs and then called it a night.
Mike and I have talked lately about the past year and it has been one of huge growth for our marriage. Up until about a year ago Mike and I each had our relationships with God, but we rarely shared, talked, etc. about them. Over the past year that has all changed and it has made such an amazing difference in our marriage. I'll spare you the mushy details, but we've learned a ton about each other, worked through difficult situations as a team, and just overall grown closer. 7 really was a lucky number for us!
